NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop | Review

Whilst strolling around in my local Boots I came across a new foundation from NYX, now I have never tried any foundations before from NYX so when I saw this I was rather excited as I do use a fair few of their amazing products.

Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation* is truly incredible ranging in 45 different shades so there is something for everyone, I am the shade Pale and I have been using this for over 3 weeks now and I now feel I have fully put it to the test, let's just say I’m really really impressed.

I only use one pump and it’s plenty to give really full coverage, the shade is perfect for my fair skin and matches my neck perfectly, what I love the most about this foundation is that it gives really full coverage but it doesn’t ever look cakey and lasts all day…..and when I say all day, I mean all day. Literally if I applied my makeup in the morning, by the evening it still looks how it did in the morning, it doesn’t fade, doesn’t go patchy and looks gorgeous. I love that it is not expensive and super easy to buy. It claims to have 24 hour wear, I haven’t tested it for 24 hours non stop but by the evening it still looks pretty good.

It’s fine if you have dry skin (which I tend to have) and it’s also fine on oily areas like the t-zone. I’m just obsessed with this foundation already, it’s just super light weight, yet full coverage and doesn’t have a price tag that’s through the earth. It blends beautifully and colour wise this is something so wonderful to be able to see in Boots. The amount of foundations that do not match my very caspar face really makes me sad as I feel there are a few brands that do a ‘pale’ foundation and it doesn’t match fair or pale skin at all, so NYX thank you for creating something that I not only love but I will continue to purchase time and time again.

If you haven’t already get your hands on this foundation it’s awesome and only cost £15 which yes is sligthly more on the price side for a drugstore foundation but it’s awesome.

Stars In Your Eyes Palette | Review

The very moment I saw this was being released I squealed with excitement as you all know (or rather should know) by now just how much I utterly love Charlotte Tilbury Products and her incredible, unstoppable and stunning brand.

Stars In Your Eyes Palette* was released on the 20th September and I just had to get my hands on one, Charlotte very successful launched a palette like this last year and it sold out in under 24 hours so it’s no surprise that this palette is going to be another almighty show stopping palette. Just as popular as the original Charlotte has bought back another Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette, cased inside comic enchanting purple speckled packaging is 12 utterly gorgeous eyeshadow shades, that anyone and everyone will most certainly love and use.

I have been testing this palette out over the past few days and I already love it, Incredibly long lasting, smudge proof yet super easy to blend, no creasing, not fall out just utterly creamy, buttery and super stunning shadows that can create so many gorgeous looks, the formula is so impressive and the textures of each shadow are spot on.  With a variety of both matte shades and shimmer shades you can really achieve any and every look you wish. With tones ranging from beautiful peachy pink shades, to coppery ones to even your gorgeous plum shades you really have so much variety.

The one thing that I don’t love is that it’s Limited Edition I WISH charlotte would do more of these stunning palettes and make them permanent.

Overall Charlotte you have only gone and done it again, I love all of these shades. Love Eyes is like a mini Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette (review here), Power Eyes is beautiful coppery nudes, Happy Eyes is your rich pinky cherry purples and Confident Eyes are something so stunning, perfect if you were going for a party look.

All in all I love this palette! And the wonderful news is that it's still available. I will also be doing a makeup tutorial with this palette very very soon.

The Pillow Talk Look

Another fabulous and gorgeous collection from the queen of the beauty world has arrived. I’m of course once again talking about Charlotte Tilbury. With an ever-growing makeup wardrobe that is loved and adored by the likes of Miss Kate Moss, Alexa Chung and Emma Roberts. It’s no surprise that Tilbury is really the queen of the makeup industry.

On Friday 6th September Charlotte released another wonderful collection that is based around and a mini extension of her wonderful Pillow Talk products. Move over lip cheat & lipstick we are now talking about a stunning eyeshadow quad and a fabulous swish and pop blusher to join the classic Tilbury Pillow Talk products.

Pillow Talk is one of the most beloved products Charlotte has ever made, a gorgeous pinky-nude colour that looks flattering on any skintone.

First up we have the stunning Pillow Talk Luxury Eyeshadow Palette. The classic tilbury quad with creamy, easy to blend and flattering shades that are designed not only to complement your eyes but also the Pillow Talk Lipstick & Lip Liner. With two matte shades a gorgeous dusky pink and a matte pretty rose along with a baby pink and a stunning rose gold shimmery pop shade it’s sure going to be a hit with everyone. This palette looks gorgeous on my blue eyes and really makes them stand out.

Moving on to the Cheek to Chic ’Swish & Glow” Blusher. If there is one Tilbury Product I love it’s most certainly their blushers, super pigmented, stunning on every skintone and dreamy packaging they never disappoint. This one is gorgeous the name is of course Pillow Talk and has this beautiful pinky-nude shade on the outside circle and this stunning golden speckled pale pink champagne colour in the middle. It adds a beautiful shimmer and warmth to the cheeks without looking heavy. Again very very pigmented and extremely beautiful.

As you can see below I have created the Pillow Talk Look and used all the products I’ve just talked about including both the lip liner and the lipstick. It really is a very flattering and another stunningly gorgeous collection.

Break down of products used:

Nyx Dark Circle Corrector, Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 0 Extra Fair, RCMA loose setting powder, MAC Charcoal Brown Eyeshadow (to fill in my eyebrows), Maybeline Brow Drama Brow Gel, Urban Decay Primer Potion, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette, Collection Highlight & Sculpt Kit, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Blusher, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Liner, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick.

A Touch Of Tilbury

I few weeks back I paid a little visit to the queen of all Tilbury stores which was of course Charlotte's first ever stand alone store in Covent Garden, I wanted to share with you all how utterly stunning it was inside and say how friendly all the staff were, that and confess to you all I may have bought something again which is sadly limited edition and sold out everywhere. I am of course talking about Star Gold which is incredible for blue eyes and really makes them pop.

Star Gold was the one cream eyeshadows that I had my heart set on from the very moment I saw it or rather swatched it, gorgeously creamy and super pigmented it was literally screaming at me "buy me" so I did. I love using this all over the eyelid as it really, really enhances my blue eyes and brings them out more, I've been using this shadow for a while now and still it looks like I've hardly even touched it, it's just so light yet so pigmented and a tiny amount goes an extremely long way. I just really rate the CT shadows all round. The next ones on my cream eyeshadow wishlist are Mona Lisa and Bette (another coppery shade).

Have you ever tried Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadows?

Paris Road Trip

One of my dream places I have longed to always one day venture to, has been France. When I say France I mean Paris.....I have never been to France or Paris until now and decided the other week to take a trip to Paris finally and have a mini getaway. Sometimes that's all you need in life is just a bit of peace, calm and tranquility that and gorgeous sunny weather. I took quite a few snaps that I wanted to share with you all and something that I can look back on, on here and smile as I really enjoyed my short time away in the city of beauty.

I did see nearly all the sight seeing attractions including the famous Eiffel Tower, had a quick trip to the louvre museum and also paid a visit to the Arc De Triomphe, not only this but I stayed in possibly the most gorgeous hotel ever which was Hotel Pastel Paris (which was all in walking distance to these main attractions may I add), the rooms are all pastel themed and you can pick which colour room you stay in, Honestly it was one gorgeous get away that I will never forget. I also did of course eat far to many french pastries, consumed many a macroon and of course had the best hot chocolate I've ever had.....I think it's safe to say I really had a wonderful time.....

until next time Paris, Au Revior

My April Favourites | 2018

It’s finally May and I am beyond excited that we are now slowly getting some rather beautiful sunny days. Today I thought I would share with you all a lot of the products and things that I have loved hugely throughout April. It is mainly makeup products but I think you already guessed that just by the photo above. OOHHH DEARRRRR

Where do I begin????

I’m going to start with foundations and the two that I have been loving hugely for possibly over the past 2 months and a lot in April are the Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation (I’m going be doing a full review of this in a few days) in F1 and the BareMINERALS Original SPF 15 Foundation Powder in Fair 01. Both of these are incredible I have been properly testing out the revolution stick foundation for a while now & I really love it, I wanted to include it in my April favourites as it has been one of them beauty products that I haven’t put down since I purchased it, I love the texture of this product but the main reason as to why it is in my monthly favourites is because it actually matches fair skin!

If you are like me and have caspar light skin then this is the perfect drugstore foundation, It is really really full coverage so you don’t need a lot but honestly colour wise it’s perfect for pale skin and it only cost a glorious £5. I really love this foundation full review like I said coming soon.

BareMINERALS Original Powder Foundation is something that I have used for years and completely love, I hadn’t used it in a really long time and found it lurking around in my makeup draw and thought I would give it a go again and my god I’m so glad I did, when I haven’t been using my Revolution Stick Foundation I have been just applying concealer where I need it and this all over and I love it.

This powder foundation makes your skin look really healthy and fresh when buffed into the skin, it’s really light and doesn’t feel like you are wearing powder at all, with the sun making a rather beautiful appearance my skin has been living in this powder. I love how it has an SPF too, colour wise again it’s perfect and never looks orange on my skin….full review coming soon.

Concealer wise I have been loving the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Aquacealer Concealer in Fair, I bought this from QVC as Tarte makeup is rather hard to get your hands on over here in the UK. It came with a little brush which I have also been loving, anyway this concealer is so refreshing and light and it just is such a pleasure to use underneath my rather sensitive eyes. It might be a light texture but it does give really good coverage, it’s super brightening and feels just incredible underneath my eyes and on blemishes it doesn’t go cakey and blends beautiful, a little of this product goes quite a long way. It is a water based concealer which I really love I am going to america next year (EEEPPPP) and I will most definitely be getting my hands on the foundation that matches this concealer.

Bronzer wise I again had a peek in my makeup draw and saw this sitting at the back sitting rather unloved so I reached out for it and forgot how good it was, the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel is a bronzing gel meets cream product that adds the most natural glowing warmth to your skin and makes you look really healthy, I tend to use it more in the summer months hence why it hasn’t been used in a while but it leaves a really beautiful warmth to my skintone without looking orangey or muddy. It’s really light and a little goes a long way, If you have fair skin you can use this it’s so natural and probably one of the most natural looking bronzers I’ve ever used on my skin, this product actually dries like a powder and when applied to the skin goes on like a powder it’s really really beautiful and it also smells incredible a bit like fresh roses….not that you buy a bronzer on smell but honestly this product is again another favourite of mine for fair skin. I might actually do a full in depth review including photos of this if that’s something you guys would be interested in.

Charlotte Tilbury Exaggereyes Palette is something I have already talked about and done a proper review on here, I am in love with this palette since the moment it landed in my hands I haven’t put it down it’s stunning I especially love the super sparkly shade and the rose gold theme to this palette, I’ve talked about this enough already so I’m not going to ramble on but it’s seriously, seriously beautiful and looks amazing on blue eyes.

I’ve never been one for massive foundation brushes I have a really tiny pea head and a massive brush to blend products into my face is something that I’ve never really been one for however I have fallen in love with the Real Techinques Brush Crush 301 Complextion Brush, I have been using this for foundation and it’s the most amazing brush ever it blends my makeup beautifully and makes it look really flawless and fresh looking. It’s like a stippling brush on the ends of the brush but the base is really sturdy a little bit like the expert face brush from RT. Like I said this is an amazing brush for blending foundation or bronzer & I have actually been using this most days if not everyday (don’t worry I have washed it lots of times).

The final thing I have been loving is the NEOM Scent To De-Stress hand cream, NEOM do some extremely beautiful products ranging from candles to reed diffusers to bath and shower oils. I’ve been using this tiny hand cream for a while now & felt that It should now be something to introduce you to, it’s the handcream from their De-Stress kit which I purchased ages ago, this wonderful hand cream contains Lavender, Brazilian Rosewood, Jasmine and well as 21 other essential oils.

I can’t even begin to tell you how beautiful this hand cream smells it’s not greasy at all really light yet so effective. It has helped me hugely to relax as I have felt extremely stressed out lately and this has been an utter godsend. I am a really huge fan of NEOM products they make great birthday presents or even just a general treat for yourself or a loved one.

That is pretty much everything I have loved throughout April and I am sure these products will continue to shine throughout the rest of May.

What did you love in April?

Bigger Brighter Eyes

The queen of makeup has just recently launched a brand new collection……by queen of makeup I of course mean the lovely Charlotte Tilbury! The moment I saw that Charlottes #Beautyfilters collection had launched I was beyond excited and had to purchase the beautiful Exagger-eyes palette

This palette contains some of the most beautiful shades I feel Charlotte has ever released, it’s definitely a limited edition collection you don’t want to miss out on……

This stunning quad of four eyeshadows contains a really beautiful rose gold, a stunning ivory cream, a red/purple shade and my favourite the gorgeous transparent sparkly shade. I honestly love this palette SO much it’s just completely beautiful, Charlotte claims you can create the brightest eyes of your life with this palette. It’s a palette that’s designed to give you the appearance of wide eyes, bright eyes and enhancing your natural eye colour.

I have been wearing this since I got it and I’ve completely fallen in love with it. All of these shades are super pigmented and create such a lovely eye look. It definitely makes my lil blue eyes pop and I just completely obsessed with the sparkly shade. It’s simply a gorgeous palette, it works so well on fair skin and it lasts all day. Colours blend
wonderfully together and I love the rose gold and plum hints running through the shades.

As you can see I created a makeup look above using all of the shades in this palette and I just love it, I will be doing an updated makeup tutorial soon & this palette will most certainly be making an appearance. It’s a great all year round palette to wear too I just absolutely adore it. I also used Charlotte's Full Fat Lashes Mascara* & The Feline Flick Eyeliner* Lipstick was actually Charlotte's lipliner in Pillow Talk all over the lips.

If you are ummmming and ahing do not hesitate to buy it as it’s simply stunning. It is limited edition so if you can get your hands on it then definitely do as you won’t be disappointed.

Have you checked out Charlotte’s new collection yet?

Tilbury Surprise

If you have been reading my blog for quite a while now you will know that I am obsessed with everything Charlotte Tilbury, everything from the products to the actual package I just adore. If you also happen to have instagram you might of seen that Charlotte posted my photo that I took of her Hollywood Flawless Filter (review here) on her instagram a few weeks back now.

Today I thought I would share with you some of the beautiful products that Charlotte's Team very kindly sent me! As you can imagine I was rather excited when I received possibly the most beautifully wrapped gift box I have ever seen. Inside Charlotte's classic burgundy box was four wonderful beauty products.....

Full Fat Lashes Mascara, Penelope Pink Lipstick, Colour Chameleon in Golden Quartz and The Feline Flick Eyeliner. I have used the Full Fat Lashes Mascara and it's one of my all time favourite mascaras as it really does do what it says on the bottle, it adds volume, length & drama to my Lashes. I'm actually wearing it in the photo above and you can see how incredible it actually is, the other three products I haven't actually ever tried until now. Over the past two weeks I've been really putting these products to the test and they don't disappoint.

Penelope Pink lipstick is possibly the most perfect pinky nude lipstick, it really suits my fair skin and adds just the most beautiful warmth, it's of course in homage to Penelope Cruz. Really creamy formula and super pigmented! I honestly love Charlotte's lipsticks as they are very hydrating even her matte lipsticks aren't super drying on your lips they too are quite moisturising.

Feline Flick is something along with the Full Fat Lashes Mascara that I have been using every single day since I got them both. This eyeliner is incredible, it's jet black and has the finest pointed tip. It makes eyeliner so so easy if you struggle with eyeliner invest in this trust me, it's so good and easy to use, I love how it's also jet black, sometimes with pen eyeliner it can not be always as jet black when it dries, this however is. I'm just obsessed with this product.

Golden Quartz Colour Chameleon is something that I've never used before and was quite a different colour for me to venture into using on my eyes, however I actually really love this, very easy to blend and it does make blue eyes pop, it's designed for hazel eyes but never the less it does work really well. I haven't been wearing this everyday but when I have worn it I have added a bit of shimmer using the Stilla Liquid Eyeshadow in Smouldering Satin. Golden Quartz is a really beautiful shade however it isn't something I'd tend to reach for everyday but if you have hazel eyes or want to try a different eye makeup look like me then do check this out.

If you want amazing quality products, then Tilbury is definitely the beauty department to check out, I love the quality of them, the packaging just literally everything about Charlotte's products are effortless and beautiful.

I will be doing more reviews over the next few days on some of Charlotte's other products, as I have invested in even more of her products including magic foundation (review coming soon) and one of her brand new palettes that is launching on 19th April as part of her brand new #BEAUTYFILTERS collection......You have no idea how truly excited I am about this next collection if only I could buy it all.

So stay tuned for a lot more Tilbury reviews.

Have you tried Charlotte Tilbury products before?
