Too Faced Natural Love Palette | Review

As soon as I saw that Too Faced were releasing a brand new ‘natural’ makeup collection I just had to get my hands on the gorgeous eyeshadow palette that contains a whopping 30 neutral eyeshadows…….and you all know just how much I love my neutral eyeshadow palettes. Everyone seems to be raving about this at the moment including everyone from your niece to your mother even to their dog (jokes) and rightfully so.

The Natural Love Eyeshadow Palette contains 7 matte shades as well as some familiar shades from other well known and popular Too Faced Eyeshadow Palettes including Natural Eyes, Natural Eyes Matte along with many more. Starting from the top left we have the shades - Heaven, Fairy Tale, Nudie, Tickle Me, Don’t Settle, Fingers Crossed, Lace Teddy, Satin Sheets, Push-Up, Honey Pot, Chocolate Martini, Undercover, Pink Cheeks, Kittens, Bunny Nose, Moonbeam, Love Bug, Smokin’, Poodle, Cutie Patootie, Dear Diary, Coffee Date, Spoiled, Night Fever, Spolight, Honey Butter, Honeymoon, Hot & Bothered, Makeup & Chill & Stiletto. Overall it’s a stunning and very very beautiful palette that is perfect for any kind of makeup look I love every single shade in this palette as you have such a variety to create any kind of makeup look. Every shade is very very creamy, pigmented, long lasting and very easy to blend. As you can see by the swatches they all are incredibly beautiful. I feel like this is a perfect palette for fair skin but also a perfect palette for a bride to be too. My favourites are Fairy Tale, Dear Diary, Satin Sheets, Moonbeam & Coffee Date……infact the whole palette I just adore there isn’t a single shade that I won’t use which I find is always rare in eyeshadow palettes as for me there is always one that sticks out like a sore thumb that you just end up wishing it was never added to the palette. It’s such a versatile palette that you most definitely need if you are 1. A Too Faced fan & 2. Love neutral eyeshadows. This palettes got a lot of shimmer shades and they all are very buttery and super pigmented.

Packaging wise I mean COME ON!!!!!! It’s adorable it reminds me of one of them traditional story princess books that either your mum or dad or your grandparents would buy you for your birthday or christmas. It has a giant mirror which I love I also love the very minimal yet super effective look that Too Faced have gone for, for this palette, I just think that the traditional storybook vibes for the packaging really give the eyeshadows that final touch of class and beauty. Honestly this is going to be one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes I can already tell. I feel like it’s just perfect for all year round right from spring to summer and autumn to winter I will for sure be using it constantly.

They have got other products including gorgeous new Highlighters in this collection, but for me nothing quite beats a palette of 30 eyeshadows. Let me know if you’d like me to do a tutorial or makeup look with this palette.

Have you got your hands on the new Too Faced Natural Love Eyeshadow Palette?

Conquering The Contour

If there is one thing I have a serious love/hate relationship with makeup wise it’s got to be contour. Having fair skin is something that I’m proud of & happy with but in most cases it’s never easy for me to simply pick a random contour or bronzer kit and just roll with it just because it says ‘fair’. They’re either too muddy, have a some what ghastly orange tone to them or have whacking great chunks of glitter. However this was until the other day, when I went on a shopping trip to boots, and came across a rather splendid Seventeen Contour Kit, I had seen quite a few reviews of this particular contour kit and thought I’d give it a whirl, it didn’t look muddy in the pan, or have an orangey tone. Every fair girls worst nightmare. It’s also affordable and would be a nifty little gem for my makeup bag.

First impressions it’s definitely got a Nars vibe going on packaging wise which I just love, I love nars packaging it always feels classy and nifty as does this particular highstreet kit. It’s quite slim and not chunky, has a great mirror. I picked mine up in of course the shade light I believe they do this in two different shades and both of which look very very similar so do double check the packaging and labelling in your nearest boots or superdrug. Down to the actual product and moving away from the packaging it’s a duo so it has a contour shade on the right and a highlighter which I believe is matte (which makes a change from shimmery highlighters) on the left. It is ever so slightly warm for me to go out on the town full on contour with it, but having said that it’s still quite a good colour to go for a light contour, I’ve used it a couple of time and it’s pigmented and easily blendable. I feel like for fair skin it’s a really good highstreet contour kit and one that I will use a lot more, I mean it’s under RRP £5 which is amazing.

Do i think it works for fair skin? That’s the big question here really……..Taking into account the cost of this kit, the actual nars nock off packaging and of course the product itself………yes I do. I mean it’s not too dark or muddy in the slightest I just personally because of my fair skin wouldn’t go out on the town contour with this particular product. Overall it’s a fab drugstore contour kit for fair skin and it’s very easy to use but also simple to slip away in a makeup bag without it being bulky and chunky packaging wise. Product itself is blendable, quite a good colour and isn’t chalky.

Overall I really am quite chuffed with this little contour kit.

February Favourites | 2017

Well would you look at that we are finally now in March! I absolutely love March not only because it’s my b-day month but it’s also because It means I’ve used another month of products that I’m going to share with you all again as I love writing my monthly favourites and it gives me a chance to reflect on products or things that I loved using or have worked for me.

The first thing that I can’t not mention is my love for one new Body Scrub/ Butter from Lush……It’s called Scrubee & is one little thing from their new Mothers Day collection. It’s honestly incredible, I have used this for well over 2-3 weeks or so now & have become obsessed with it, it smells exactly like the Golden Egg Bath Bomb & is amazing at buffing away dead skin and leaves my dry skin so hydrated and nourished. It’s got pieces of ground coconut shell which give the scrub effect along with honey & cocoa butter to give hydration to the skin, I’ve really been loving this & have used it everyday since purchasing one and now have gone through about 3-4 of these as they are SO good and make my skin feel amazing. If you get dry skin definitely check Scrubee out it will change your life.

Because I recently got my hair done I have basically ombre’d my hair which you can have a read here. I’ve been looking after it and have fallen in love with the Lee Staford Bleach Blondes shampoo. It’s literally bright purple and basically removes the some what orangey tones from ombre blonde hair, It’s bright purple and is terrifying because it’s that bright but it’s awesome It makes my hair a lot blonder and I’ve been using this twice a week. If you do know anymore toning shampoos for blonde hair do let me know as this was the only one I could see in Boots. It’s really good and I can definetly see the difference in the blondness to my hair.

Books have been something I’ve always loved, two books I’ve been throughly enjoying reading this month have been It by Alexa Chung & Sali Hughes Pretty Honest. I’m extremely late to the bandwagon of these books but they are honestly such a good read, Alexa’s book is packed with little tips and tricks all about fashion and is really an inspiring read for bloggers and anyone who loves fashion. Pretty Honest is one of the best beauty books I’ve ever read, it’s again filled with lots of tips and beauty tricks and some very honest yet comforting advice on anything from skincare to the perfect red lipstick. Both books I’ve been reading throughout February and are both really good. If you like beauty tips or advice definitely give these both a read.

Concealer is something that I love nothing more than finding a good one and one that I’m currently loving is the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit in Porcelain It’s basically a concealer & a setting powder in a little kit that's perfect for on the go touch ups. I have used this constantly since towards the end of January and straight through to February. It’s a really high coverage concealer that’s really easy to blend, lasts all day and the setting powder is the stuff of dreams, I’ve hit pan already on the concealer as it’s that good, matches my fair skin perfectly and lasts all day, it isn’t cakey at all and the powder doesn’t look chalky. It’s been used just as much as my trusty Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. Please do excuse the disgusting state that it's in, it just shows you how much I've been loving this concealer.

The final thing that I’ve been loving throughout February is my MAC eye pencil in Coffee, I’ve had this for ages and it’s one product I’ve fallen back in love with recently, I use this to define my lash line more and to also give a smudged kinda effect to my eye makeup if I’m doing a more everyday kind of look, it’s really pigmented and is a nice alternative to an intense cat eye and is something more on the neutral side for everyday looks I’ve just really been loving this.

I’ve of course loved other products throughout February but these are the ones that have stood out to me the most!
