January Favourites | 2017

Howdy.......Another month means another month of various products that I have used and they now have become favourite items of mine, this month my favourites are slightly mixed but are mostly beauty related.

The first thing I've been really loving using for a few months now actually....I purchased this around about November time as I kept walking past it in Superdrug is Colab Dry Shampoo by the ever so gorgeous Ruth Crilly. Now this has been raved about by plenty of people and bloggers for a while now and I just thought sod it I'd give it a whirl.....I love the smell, it doesn't leave any form of white streaks through my hair and has actually replaced my beloved Batiste. I love batiste but this is one product that has pipped them to the post. I will most definitely be checking out the other fragrances from Colab.

Setting products have been a huge pain for me for a while now but ever since Sam from Made & Co introduced me to the RCMA no colour powder I fell completely in love with it. It sets my concealer beautifully and doesn't leave it looking cakey or chalky like some setting powders do, I've used this everyday for the past couple of months now and it's brilliant I have done a more in depth review here if you wish to have a read.

Real Techniques as a brand are one of my favourites, their brushes are faultless and always blend my makeup beautifully, but a new edition to my makeup is their Miracle Complextion Sponge now they have been around for a while and I'm most definitely late to jumping on this band wagon but its a new edition which I didn't think I was going to love but actually do. I have found that using this lil sponge for foundation & concealer so much more quicker and it gives a really flawless finish, they are just SO good everyone should have one of these, I've been alternating between this lil sponge and my trusty Zoeva Silk Finish brush for my foundation and concealer, if you don't have a beauty blender or beauty sponge or whatever you wanna call them I'd highly suggest you invest in one.

Another product that I've been reaching for everyday is my Illamasqua Pigment in Hollow, It's the perfect contour colour for my very fair skin, It doesn't leave a muddy & heavy look to my skintone and blends in perfectly it just adds the right amount of dimension to my face without looking overdone too.

Dark circles are something that I'm no stranger too so I purchased about a month ago the NYX Dark Circle Corrector and it's awesome, I just pat a tiny amount of this corrector under my eyes and then apply my concealer on top & my hideous dark circles have vamoosed. It's up there with my favourite Benefit Erase Paste!

If there is one makeup brand that I'm forever reaching for or talking about it's got to be Charlotte Tilbury, I've just become obsessed with her amazing makeup & skincare products over time and two products I've been reaching for a lot and have used pretty much on a day to day basis are the Full Fat Lashes Mascara & a Colour Chameleon in Champagne Diamonds, This mascara is incredible it does everything it promises and more. I love how it's jet black and every time I've used this someone's commented on my eyelashes and has asked me what am I wearing, I've also been using the Champagne Diamond Colour Chameleon. It's basically an eyeshadow crayon it's just a beautiful light rosey coppery shade with a beautiful amount of shimmer, and really makes my blue eyes pop, super pigmented and again it's another product that everyone I know keeps asking me about. I love how as it's shimmery it's not OTT and doesn't look like I've got to disco balls for a 90s school disco on my eyelids, its subtle yet beautiful.

Sticking with eyeshadows the final thing I've been using on a daily basis is the Too Faced Natural Eyes Eyeshadow palette, now this palette is amazing as you can create every kind of look from a day to day basis to a simply smoky it's ideal. I especially have done a bit of damaged to Silk Teddy & Push Up both of which are two pretty pinky rosey shades.

And that is everything I've been loving throughout January, most of these I'm sure I will be taking into February with me.

What have you been loving in January?

  1. The Real Techniques sponge is actually amazing and my foundation just looks so much better when I use it. Plus I find it convenient to apply with as well!
