All The Pumpkin

To say I love anything Pumpkin Spiced is an understatement, today I thought I’d share with you my two current favourite pumpkin themed/scented products to get you through this autumn, that and to give you all the warm and cosy feels....

What’s autumn without pumpkin scented bath and shower products? Well it isn’t….two products that I’m loving recently, not only look amazing but they feel amazing, First up The Body Shop have just released their pumpkin scented products and there Vanilla Pumpkin Shower Gel has now become my new favourite smell, note this is now my second bottle because I've used it that much already. It smells like a really sweet warm cinnamon bun, it just makes me feel so cosy and warm it foams up really nicely and just smells like autumn in a bottle……I’m most certainly going to get my hands on their body butter and glitter mist in this scent.

If there is one Lush product that just instantly brings a smile to my face it’s these little guys, Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar is probably one of my favourite all time Lush scents. I hope to god Lush never get rid of this! With a beautiful citrus blend of Lime Oil, Juniperberry Oil & Grapefruit Oil it leaves my skin feel so soft and smelling incredible. This is one of them limited edition bath products that I wish they would bring it out in a shower gel or a body lotion it’s SOOOO good.

Now go and head to your local Lush or The Body Shop and stock up on your favourite autumnal beauty products.

What are you loving recently?

Lazy Girl Hairstyle

Eye Makeup - Urban Decay Sin all over the lid & MAC Corduroy in the crease
mascara is of course my trust Maybelline Lash Sensational.

First of all excuse me trying to go all tumblr on you on the photos above……

One of my favourite “I really can’t be bothered today…” hair styles is a super messy bun, I love doing them and my family & friends love it when I do a quick messy bun, I have long hair and or though it would probably be easier to get the chop on my long locks I kinda love them as I can create SO many hairstyles from fishtail braids to volumized curls and of course kim k braids. Although having long hair is sometimes a lil bit of a faff I do really love it, I thought I’d share with you some very tumblr themed photos I’ve taken of my messy barnet and share with you just what I tend to use to create my messy bun. Getting that perfect messy bun is something I’m forever trying to master but in reality hairstyles are all trial and error. However I like to say practise makes perfect.

Key Things For That Ultimate Messy Bun.

VA Va VOOOM - Between me and you this means volume but I’m weird so I say va va voom instead *starts smirking*. Having as much volume and texture in your hair will not only make it easier for it to look messy but it gives a bit of dimension & texture to both my roots of my hair & of course the ends. My va va vooms of choice are both from Toni & Guy, their Tousled Texture Creation Hairspray is something I use on a daily basis, wether I’m going for a messy bun or not it adds just the right amount of volume I like & it also doesn’t make your hair go all crispy. Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Spray is another one of my faves too.

All The Bobbles - You can’t do a messy bun without a fair few hair bobbles, I prefer the ones without the metal in them, if you want a good messy bun don’t worry about how many hair bobbles you use I say the more the merrier I like to pull different sections out and then secure the base with a couple of bobbles.

Pin It Baby - Like I said I like to pull on my messy bun and then I secure it all with as many bobby pins as my heart desires. Lil tip for you I’ve found the cheaper the hair pins are the better they are, eBay do some great ones failing that superdrug do some splendid ones too.

Set that hair - To finish off my now slightly acceptable messy barnet I set it with either the tousled texture hairspray or my mini L’Oreal Ellent Hair Spray

Voila there you have messy bun.

What’s your go-to “I cba today” hairstyle?

My September Favourites

I’m fully aware that I’ve bypassed my August Favourites but nothing really stood out to me or changed makeup/beauty wise so I kinda forgot to do a favourites…….*whoops*

September however there have been SO many things that I’ve favourited and just completely fell in love with, so much so here is this months favourites.

Zara Jacket, if there is one item of clothing I have lived in this September it sure is this denim jacket, it’s got a very vintage vibe about it and has just become my go to autumn jacket, it’s cosy and snug yet very stylish and quite trendy. I've done a lil look book on it here.

Cosy autumn themed candles have most certainly been something I’ve enjoyed using this month. I’ve been on many a homesense trip and picked up a fair few gems. My current favourite candles have got to be these two, white pumpkin and pumpkin and peppercorn both smell insanely autumnal and have been giving me all the cosy vibes I could ever need. If you want great autumn themed candles Homesense is where it’s at.

Lush Once Upon A Time Body Lotion, I recently went to the Lush Creative Showcase and purchased this little pot of cream and oh my It’s glorious. Packed with Almond Oil, Apple infusion and Murumuru Butter I’ve been using this pretty much on a daily basis since I got it and it’s honestly one of my new favourite Lush Body Lotions. It’s very hydrating and great for sensitive skin. It reminds me of the So White Bath Bomb they used to do a few christmas’ back.

Scent wise It will be no surprise that I’ve gone all autumnal and I’ve been loving my Jo Malone Dark Amber & Ginger Lily Fragrance it’s quite a musky yet sweet scent and reminds me of fresh christmas trees. It’s just such an autumnal scent that I’ve been using almost daily.

Eyeshadow wise I’ve tucked away my neutrals include my baby pinks and semi matte browns and pulled out my trusty Nars Isolde Duo, If you have blue eyes like me then invest in this little duo, this duo makes my eyes pop and it just screams autumn, it’s got a beautiful bright orange copper shade on the left and an almost burnt coppery brown on the right, It’s one eyeshadow duo that I’ve been loving & using most days.

Sticking with eyeshadow it’s either been my nars duo or my Charlotte Tilbury Champagne Diamonds Crayon. Again this either on it’s own or on top of my nars duo (or any eyeshadow for that matter) has been something I’ve been doing quite a lot, my friends & family have been asking about my eye makeup recently and it’s mainly been the nars duo & this combined.

I have done my autumn makeup tutorial which you can have a look at here if you like.

The final two things are both two of my all time favourite makeup items, it's the Urban Decay Primer Potion, I'm sure I've talked about this on here before somewhere but I honestly use this religiously everyday. It keeps my eyeshadow on all day and just is a god send, I have a mini panic if I can't find this in my makeup bag. A tube of this lasts months & months I've had this particular tube since april and it's still quite full.

The final product is my beloved Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brow in Linda again another fave that I've mentioned on here quite a lot. It's a tinted brow gel that gives you the most beautiful brows Instead of filling my brows in with powder I've literally just been using this only. It's got an amazing brush that catches every single hair and fills them in, gives a really natural brow and never looks ott.

I’ve been loving lots of other products and things but I don’t want to bore you so the others might have to roll into another future post. I hope this post has given you as many autumnal vibes as it has me typing it.

What did you love in September?

Autumn Style | Leaves & All The Denim

Oversized Denim jackets are a real dominating style this autumn and infact this year alone they have been well loved by everyone from your neighbour to your mum maybe even your dog who knows. I couldn’t not share with you my newest wardrobe addition, It's this gorgeous denim jacket from Zara. I feel like it’s perfect for this time of the year it’s trendy yet cosy and snug enough to get away with on them slightly chilly autumn mornings, I simply adore everything about this jacket even the little lattice details on the sides to the very bikers buckles on the cuffs. I’ve teamed it with a simple grey three quarter length sleeved t-shirt from H&m along with my Topshop Joni Jeans & old primark black flats. My backpack is of course a LongChamp one it's my go to atm.

If I could live, eat & sleep in this jacket I would…..

What’s new in your wardrobe?

My Autumn Makeup

It’s finally my favourite time of the year (apart from Christmas obvs), with pumpkin spice being pretty much everywhere I thought It was about time I shared with you my autumnal makeup look as it’s one thing that a lot of my friends and family have been asking me about recently, as I’ve been wearing it pretty much on a daily basis.

Autumnal makeup for me is all about hypnotising golden eyes so I tend to make my eye makeup the focal point instead of the lips, as bold lips are what most people tend to go for when it’s autumn. I’m no way brave enough to go for both so it’s either one or the other.

Close up of the eye makeup.

Here is a break down of my makeup look.

I have been skipping foundation as I’ve been trying to let my skin breath as much as possible and just going straight in with concealer underneath my eyes I use my trusty collection lasting perfection concealer in 01 fair and on my chin, sides of my nose and on any blemishes I may have I use my Nars Creamy Concealer as it last’s all day and is the perfect match for my skin tone. I then set my base with my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder in 01 Fair.

To warm up my caspar like face I use for both my contour and bronzer my Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess great for fair skin and it adds that bit more warmth and dimension to my face. Blush I like to keep it simple and my Bourjois blush does just that. I then like to move on swiftly to brows and eyes, I’ve not been using powder to fill my brows in recently and instead just a tinted brow gel as it just looks more natural, my brow gel of choice is Charlotte Tilburys Legendary Brows in Linda.

Eyeswise I prime them first with my Urban Decay Primer Potion and then begin applying the lightest isolde duo shade all over my lids, I then blend this out with my MAC 217 & then begin to add the slightly burnt coppery shade from the duo into my crease and bottom lash line. Once all blended out again with a clean fluffy blending brush I then apply a quick wash of my Charlotte Tilbury Champagne Diamonds in the inner corners and just half way from the centre of my eye. A couple of coats of my Mabeyline Mascara & a swish of lipstick & I’m good to go.

All The Cupcakes...

Since the Bake Off has hit our screens again all be it without queen Mary Berry all that has been on my mind is cupcakes and has got me wanting to don my pinny and get baking. With this in my mind I recently went on a recent trip to good old London town with work I couldn't help myself but call into Crumbs And Doilies Cupcake shop. Known for doing all sorts of different cakes they have what I consider the best cupcakes in the heart of Soho I simply couldn't resist but pay them a lil visit. I snapped away and then finally decided to go for their famous Biscoff Cupcake which was just as delicious as it looks in the photos......Everyday C&D make and deliver stunning cakes and cupcakes throughout London. Everything is baked fresh and they use the finest ingredients available. What I love the most about this dreamy cupcake shop is that the staff are all SO friendly and welcoming which just adds the cherry on top of the cake. If you have a sweet tooth or just simply want to experience stunning cakes, and stuff your face with sweet treats then definitely check out Crumbs & Doilies when you are next in London.

Everybody loves cupcakes right?

Best Concealer EVER???

In recent years I have began to fall in love with Bobbi Brown makeup. Their beautiful bronzers to their oh so creamy & very dreamy lipstick, however one thing that I have always had a love with is their concealer. I absolutely adore the original concealer BB do but I have always longed for and wanted a concealer from them in a tube. FINALLY my concealer wardrobe is happy, as they have just done that.

I am the shade porcelain as I’m very pale incase you hadn’t of noticed by now. The only way I can describe this concealer looks wise it’s very much reminds me of my beloved nars creamy concealer. This one is very moisturising and extremely brightening, I love the applicator on this as it’s a doe foot applicator, it’s not cakey and the smallest amount gives you the most fullest coverage so you really don’t need a lot.

Shade wise it’s bob-on, it’s not orangey or has a yellowy tint it’s true to colour and makes me look so much more wide eyed, one thing I particularly love is how good it covers my dark circles with or without a corrector underneath it just hides anything & everything. It gives a very dewy look to the skin instead of a matte like most concealers do. It's one concealer you don't need to set with powder. It’s awesome on spots too & gives very high coverage, claims to have a long-wear formula and is water, sweat & humidity resistant too. I haven’t tested the water, sweat & humidity resistance on this concealer but I really love how much coverage it gives you lasts all day and it doesn’t sit in creases.

all in all I think I may have found my new favourite concealer.

Two New From MAC

MAC is one brand that I don't want to love but can't help but.......I find there prices sometimes a bit on the expensive side but all of their products that I have ever tried have always been amazing quality, I particually love their Lipsticks, eyeshadows & of course a bit of their MSF in Soft & Gentle.

On a recent trip to one of my favourite shopping centres Meadowhall I picked up two little yet expensive MAC products one is a lipstick because you just can't go to a MAC store without coming out with a lipstick, it's just not normal. I also bought a paint pot. The lipstick is Peach Blossom which has been on my makeup wishlist for a while now and I absolutely LOVE it, it's a creme sheen finish which is my favourite MAC formula of lipstick, it's this gorgeous cool nudey pink it's great against fair skin and looks stunning with a simple neutral eyeshadow look, I really love it.

The Paintpot in Painterly is another great product for fair skin, I am loving using this at the moment for an eyeshadow base it's creamy and really easy to blend, I love this product because it hides any veins on my eyelids, I have a really old limited edition paint pot from MAC that I bought years ago so it was about time I bought another new less germ riddled one. Painterly is a very neutral nude beige it's so nice even on it's own.

Two very pretty yet very expensive makeup goodies we can agree right?!

July Favourites | 2017

Another month has past and this month I have used a LOT & I mean a LOT of products and just general stuff that today I thought I’d share with you. There are quite a lot of things to get threw so I’m going to try and keep this short & sweet.

Makeup Wise, there have been a LOT of new things that I’ve been trying out & have fallen in love with. First up the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder In Luminous Light is something I have used pretty much daily for the last month or so, I’m not going to talk to much about this one as I’ve already done a review on it here. It’s honestly the best powder I have ever used, sets my base makeup like a dream and adds a beautiful glow too.

L’Oreal Paris Paradise Extatic is a new mascara for me that I’ve been trying out & again have fallen in love with it, it give you feathery fluttery lashes without a massive price tag, I’ve done a review of this one here too, honestly this mascara is fabulous & If you can get your hands on it then I suggest you do, because it’s another awesome drugstore mascara.

Lip wise I’m still wearing nude lipstick, I LOVE a good nude lipstick & the one that I’ve used a lot this month is the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine In 85 Secret, this is identical to my natural lip colour and It’s stunning, the formula of this lipstick puts YSL to shame, Instant colour, very creamy and SO moisturising, I also love that this lipstick lasts hours and doesn’t need to be topped up every five minutes. Yes very pricey but completely worth it.

When it comes to eyeshadow one brand sticks out in my mind & that is Urban Decay. Amazing eyeshadows that blend and create beautiful looks like a dream. This month I have been loving my Naked 3 Palette, I have received so many compliments about my eyes when I have worn this palette recently. My favourite look to create with these is Dust all over the lid, burnout semi-lid & slightly through the crease and then Limit & Mooner right through the crease. It’s just a stunning palette that is especially awesome for blue eyes.

Skincare wise nothing really has changed. However I have been trying out Lush’s new Jelly Facemask in Bunny Moon, When it comes to skincare treats Lush have got it spot on. I’m a massive fan of their Fresh Facemask but was intrigued to try their new Jelly Facemasks. Bunny Moon is designed for Dry Skin & and is really really moisturising, with honey, chamomile & marigold it’s a facemask that not only hydrates & brightens but it makes my skin feel wonderful. You simply pinch a bit of the jelly and massage on to your skin. I’ve really been loving this. One thing that I love about these facemasks is that they last 4 months instead of the one month that the fresh facemasks have. If you have any skin issues or want a simple skin treat then check these out.

(Excuse the dirty mirror, this girl hasn't got time to polish a mirror)

Clothing wise I have been constantly wearing this adorable Topshop Playsuit, it’s black and white & has a polkadot print. I picked this up last month & have worn it countless times already, It’s the perfect summery playsuit to wear. It’s off the shoulder and has slight frills I just love this, it’s really comfortable and it’s probably one of my favourite things I own. It’s perfect to wear any time in the year as it’s one of them items you can style so differently. You can't get it online but it is available in most Topshop stores.

Moving away from clothes & makeup I have been loving Primarks new Marble & Copper themed range, two things that I picked up recently are this mini fake succulent & little marble print vase that I can put a single flower in ect. I bought these as they are perfect for my bedroom & they are literally instagram worthy.

That is pretty much everything I have been loving this past July.
