Best Concealer EVER???

In recent years I have began to fall in love with Bobbi Brown makeup. Their beautiful bronzers to their oh so creamy & very dreamy lipstick, however one thing that I have always had a love with is their concealer. I absolutely adore the original concealer BB do but I have always longed for and wanted a concealer from them in a tube. FINALLY my concealer wardrobe is happy, as they have just done that.

I am the shade porcelain as I’m very pale incase you hadn’t of noticed by now. The only way I can describe this concealer looks wise it’s very much reminds me of my beloved nars creamy concealer. This one is very moisturising and extremely brightening, I love the applicator on this as it’s a doe foot applicator, it’s not cakey and the smallest amount gives you the most fullest coverage so you really don’t need a lot.

Shade wise it’s bob-on, it’s not orangey or has a yellowy tint it’s true to colour and makes me look so much more wide eyed, one thing I particularly love is how good it covers my dark circles with or without a corrector underneath it just hides anything & everything. It gives a very dewy look to the skin instead of a matte like most concealers do. It's one concealer you don't need to set with powder. It’s awesome on spots too & gives very high coverage, claims to have a long-wear formula and is water, sweat & humidity resistant too. I haven’t tested the water, sweat & humidity resistance on this concealer but I really love how much coverage it gives you lasts all day and it doesn’t sit in creases.

all in all I think I may have found my new favourite concealer.

Two New From MAC

MAC is one brand that I don't want to love but can't help but.......I find there prices sometimes a bit on the expensive side but all of their products that I have ever tried have always been amazing quality, I particually love their Lipsticks, eyeshadows & of course a bit of their MSF in Soft & Gentle.

On a recent trip to one of my favourite shopping centres Meadowhall I picked up two little yet expensive MAC products one is a lipstick because you just can't go to a MAC store without coming out with a lipstick, it's just not normal. I also bought a paint pot. The lipstick is Peach Blossom which has been on my makeup wishlist for a while now and I absolutely LOVE it, it's a creme sheen finish which is my favourite MAC formula of lipstick, it's this gorgeous cool nudey pink it's great against fair skin and looks stunning with a simple neutral eyeshadow look, I really love it.

The Paintpot in Painterly is another great product for fair skin, I am loving using this at the moment for an eyeshadow base it's creamy and really easy to blend, I love this product because it hides any veins on my eyelids, I have a really old limited edition paint pot from MAC that I bought years ago so it was about time I bought another new less germ riddled one. Painterly is a very neutral nude beige it's so nice even on it's own.

Two very pretty yet very expensive makeup goodies we can agree right?!

July Favourites | 2017

Another month has past and this month I have used a LOT & I mean a LOT of products and just general stuff that today I thought I’d share with you. There are quite a lot of things to get threw so I’m going to try and keep this short & sweet.

Makeup Wise, there have been a LOT of new things that I’ve been trying out & have fallen in love with. First up the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder In Luminous Light is something I have used pretty much daily for the last month or so, I’m not going to talk to much about this one as I’ve already done a review on it here. It’s honestly the best powder I have ever used, sets my base makeup like a dream and adds a beautiful glow too.

L’Oreal Paris Paradise Extatic is a new mascara for me that I’ve been trying out & again have fallen in love with it, it give you feathery fluttery lashes without a massive price tag, I’ve done a review of this one here too, honestly this mascara is fabulous & If you can get your hands on it then I suggest you do, because it’s another awesome drugstore mascara.

Lip wise I’m still wearing nude lipstick, I LOVE a good nude lipstick & the one that I’ve used a lot this month is the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine In 85 Secret, this is identical to my natural lip colour and It’s stunning, the formula of this lipstick puts YSL to shame, Instant colour, very creamy and SO moisturising, I also love that this lipstick lasts hours and doesn’t need to be topped up every five minutes. Yes very pricey but completely worth it.

When it comes to eyeshadow one brand sticks out in my mind & that is Urban Decay. Amazing eyeshadows that blend and create beautiful looks like a dream. This month I have been loving my Naked 3 Palette, I have received so many compliments about my eyes when I have worn this palette recently. My favourite look to create with these is Dust all over the lid, burnout semi-lid & slightly through the crease and then Limit & Mooner right through the crease. It’s just a stunning palette that is especially awesome for blue eyes.

Skincare wise nothing really has changed. However I have been trying out Lush’s new Jelly Facemask in Bunny Moon, When it comes to skincare treats Lush have got it spot on. I’m a massive fan of their Fresh Facemask but was intrigued to try their new Jelly Facemasks. Bunny Moon is designed for Dry Skin & and is really really moisturising, with honey, chamomile & marigold it’s a facemask that not only hydrates & brightens but it makes my skin feel wonderful. You simply pinch a bit of the jelly and massage on to your skin. I’ve really been loving this. One thing that I love about these facemasks is that they last 4 months instead of the one month that the fresh facemasks have. If you have any skin issues or want a simple skin treat then check these out.

(Excuse the dirty mirror, this girl hasn't got time to polish a mirror)

Clothing wise I have been constantly wearing this adorable Topshop Playsuit, it’s black and white & has a polkadot print. I picked this up last month & have worn it countless times already, It’s the perfect summery playsuit to wear. It’s off the shoulder and has slight frills I just love this, it’s really comfortable and it’s probably one of my favourite things I own. It’s perfect to wear any time in the year as it’s one of them items you can style so differently. You can't get it online but it is available in most Topshop stores.

Moving away from clothes & makeup I have been loving Primarks new Marble & Copper themed range, two things that I picked up recently are this mini fake succulent & little marble print vase that I can put a single flower in ect. I bought these as they are perfect for my bedroom & they are literally instagram worthy.

That is pretty much everything I have been loving this past July.

L'Oreal Paris Paradise Extatic Mascara

Festival season & long summer days are well and truly here, which means my makeup bag has once again changed. For me my makeup needs to be even more long lasting and my mascara needs to be not running down my face by the end of a long old day.

One new product from L’Oreal Paris that I’m currently loving is their Paradise Extatic Mascara in Black. When it comes to drugstore mascara I’m most certainly a L’Oreal or Maybelline kinda girl. This one is brand new & I’m already obsessed with it, It’s jet black in colour and really adds lots volume to my lashes, I literally apply a few coats and it’s done, it’s clump free and works great for my bottom lashes too. When it comes to mascara I like mine to be feathery and big, and this mascara really does do that. My eyes are pretty sensitive however this mascara is fine. It’s budget friendly and is just one of the best drugstore mascaras my eyelashes have ever had the pleasure of using.

The formula is incredible & there is no smudging or clumping and certainly no flaking, If you are a massive fan of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara then you will love this one as it's an amazing dupe for it. I bought this mascara for £9.99 in superdrug which compared to the Too Faced BTS coming in at £19.99 is a massive saving of £9.01. One huge thing that I love about this product is that it doesn’t give you panda eyes by 2pm which can sometimes happen with the BTS.

To conclude this Mascara is fabulous and everything I want & look for in a mascara, I’d go as far as to say it’s one of the best highstreet mascara I’ve tried in a while, It’s even better then some highend ones I’ve tried.

You can get the L'Oreal Mascara at Superdrug which is currently on offer for £9.99 go on grab one.

What’s your favourite Mascara?

Ready, Set....SUN

It feels like forever since I last sat down and typed away on my little blog, but I'm now back and ready to type till my hearts content. I thought I'd share with you a few products that I'm using this very gorgeous July and give you some summer vibes. One thing that I love about summer is that I can switch up my routine and explore the beauty department even more than I already do. So here are a few products that are getting me through this summer.

Kiehl's have just launched one of my favourite moisturiser the ultra facial cream with SPF 30, and boy I've never been SO happy to slap on a moisturiser in all my life. I'm lazy when it comes to applying SPF so this has saved me a job, it's slightly thicker than the original moisturiser & smells different. My makeup sits on top of this cream like a dream & I'm so glad Kiehl's have finally made this moisturiser with SPF. Summer wise this is fabulous and really hydrates your skin but also protects it at the same time, I would highly recommend this one especially for this summer.

You can't start summer without gorgeously dreamy & glowing skin & Charlotte Tilbury's Wonder Glow Primer does just that. It's a stunning Light Reflecting Primer that I simply love, it instantly hydrates my skin and gives it this lit within luminosity & really awakens my casper skin. It's just an instant hydrate, wake & plump skin dream in a bottle, it makes my skin look & feel SO healthy, I honestly would recommend this product to anyone it's just beautiful and well worth the hype & money.

I'm very much about dewy glowing skin this summer and two products that I'd recommend are the Hourglass Lighting Powder in Luminous Light & of course MACs Mineralise Skin Finish In Soft & Gentle. Hourglass products are beautiful, very creamy, easy to blend and give the most beautiful glow & lift to your skin, the lighting powder in luminous light is my favourite one, my skin looks so healthy and I've noticed a huge different in how my makeup looks in photos when I use this, a lot of people who I know keep saying my skin looks really healthy & flawless, I honestly feel like it's down to this product alone. It just gives you a soft focus candlelit glow & adds a bit more dimension to my face. I'm just obsessed with it, very finely milled and my makeup looks nicer & lasts longer when I use this.

MAC Minrelized Skin Finish (MSF) in Soft & Gentle, everyone & their mum owns this it's SOOOO pretty, this stunning bronzed highlight is something that I've used religiously & always pull it out of my makeup draw this time of the year. At the moment it's just a permanent staple in my makeup bag that I won't be parting with anytime soon.

When it comes to styling my hair in the summer it's either a messy bun, down and wavy or in a pony tail however on the days where I want squeaky clean beach wavy hair I love nothing more than using my Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo along with my Toni & Guy Sea Salt Spray. Lush's dry shampoo is one of the best on the highstreet my hair can't get enough of this stuff it's citrus scented & really absorbs the oilyness on 3rd day hair. Toni & Guy Sea Salt Spray is something I've talked about on my blog multiple times it's my favourite hair product ever, instant beachy waves for them summer days, be sure to carry your hair brush with you though sea salt means knotty hair.

What are you summer essentials?

June Favourites | 2017

It seems to have been a while since I’ve actually sat down and typed a blog post, so today I thought I would type my June Favourites. Some favourites you will have seen before and some are new to me.

One thing you may or may not know about me is that I am a huge lover of good body moisturisers, as when it comes to moisturising my body and actually helping my dry skin I’m a lazy so & so. However one product I have been loving hugely is a hand & body lotion from Lush called Sympathy For The Skin. This is the perfect body lotion for somebody who isn’t a fan of scented lotions & potions, It’s really moisturising, extremely light and soaks in beautifully into your skin. I love how it doesn’t feel oily and smells light. It’s packed with bananas, cocoa butter & sweet vanilla pod infusion. In other words heaven in a tub.

Sticking with Lush another product of theirs that I have been loving this month is the No Drought Dry Shampoo, I’m a batiste girl at heart but I have been thoroughly enjoying using this it’s a lot more healthier for your hair compared to batiste, I have found that the smallest amount goes a long way & you really don’t need a lot with this dry shampoo. It’s really lightly scented and doesn’t leave white streaks in your hair.

The Body Shop Mojito range is probably one of my faves. I got SO excited when I saw that they were releasing a Mojito themed range including body butters, scrubs ect. Mojitos are one of my favourite drinks however I don’t drink so I always have a mocktail one. As you have probably guessed it smells exactly like your classic mojito it’s fresh fruity & just screams summer. I’ve really been loving this.

Makeup wise there are a fair few things, one being my Nars Tinted Moisturiser I’ve done a proper review of that here so I will not bore you.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray is one product I have a love hate relationship with, love the actual product itself but I HATE the smell it makes me gag ever so slightly. My makeup stays longer and looks a lot nicer when I use this, instead of my face of the day slipping off by the late afternoon it lasts me to infinity & beyond when I use this, it’s hydrating and doesn’t feel sticky or sit uncomfortably on top of your skin. All in all I do love it just wish they’d change the smell.

The Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener is something I’ve talked about a fair bit already and it’s because it really is amazing, I feel like everyone should own one of these, I put this underneath my concealer and it really brightens my horrid dark circles & hides them completely, it makes your eyes look awakened and hydrated instead of tired and lifeless.

When it comes to eyeshadows we all know how much I love a neutral shade so when I saw Stilla had finally launched one of my all time favourite shades which is Kittens into a single individual eyeshadow pot I had to get my hands on it, It’s this pretty neutral whitish pinky toned shadow that goes with any eye makeup, from a simple wash all over the lid to the inner corners of your eye it’s fabulous. It works really nicely with a simply winged eyeliner look too.

Brush wise there have been two stand out favourites this month. One is my Real Techniques Sculpting Brush I have been loving this brush for foundation it buffs it in beautifully leaves a flawless finish and makes foundation application an utter walk in the park. The other brush is again from Real Techniques & it’s the multitask eye brush, I use this one daily to blend in my Bobbi Brown Tinted Eyebrightener, this brush I don’t actually use for eyeshadow I use it for either my correctors or concealers or on spots it’s a nifty brush that I simply can’t live without now.

That is everything I have been loving this past June. What products or things have you been loving this past month?

Summer Fresh Skin

I’m a huge NARS fan and I love practically all their beauty products from their gorgeous peachy pink toned blushers to their creamy concealer. Nars for me tick every box, especially as they seem to be one brand that has actually grasped the truest of true shade of Caspar the friendly ghost (between me & you I mean fair skin). Being extremely fair is something I love & I’m proud of, even if people always ask me “Are you feeling under the weather?” 24/7. Nars are one brand that I can always trust and turn to for makeup for the fairest of them all.

I recently purchased the Nars Tinted Moisturiser, which I mentioned that I’d been loving it hugely in my May Favourites. I wanted something a bit more lighter and a little bit more breathable for my skin instead of using my trusty Nars Sheer Glow In Siberia this summer. I hadn’t really heard anyone talk about the Nars Tinted Moisturiser apart from Emma Stone’s Makeup Artist Rachel Goodwin (who is the most talented MA I have ever seen). I knew that Rachel used this on Emma at this years Oscars, Emma is fair skinned and personally uses a lot of Nars products so I saw a list of all the products Rachel used on Emma and decided to purchase the tinted moisturiser in Finland. Finland is the exact shade Emma wore at the Oscars and it looked like the perfect match for my skin. So purely based on the makeup emma wore to I  purchased this tinted moisturiser on a whim that 1. it would match my skin ton & 2. I would like it.

I’m now completely obsessed with this tinted moisturiser it feels SO incredibly light and just evens out my skintone beautifully if you want a really fresh, dewy, makeup less makeup up look then you need to try this. It has SPF 30 so great for the summer months and it’s extremely light, it doesn’t look heavy infact it looks just like your skin but with this healthy glow, it doesn’t cling on to any dry patches on your skin it’s really hydrating and it makes you look extremely fresh faced. It lasts all day and doesn’t go patchy either. Shade wise it matches my skintone perfectly, I like to pat this into my skin using my beauty blender and it works a treat. Gives great coverage. If you are worried about shades I’m the shade Siberia in the Nars Sheer Glow & the Tinted Moisturiser in Finland matches my caspar like face perfectly. If it hadn’t of been for Rachel I probably wouldn’t of ventured into this product as I’m obsessed with my Sheer Glow.

I just can’t put this tinted moisturiser down it’s honestly fab. I mean if Emma Stone can wear it to the oscars I can wear it. If you have fair skin then seriously check this out but also check out Rachel’s Instagram for different makeup looks she’s done.

I’m hugely impressed with this Tinted Moisturiser (as you can see from the photo above), colour wise matches my skin tone perfectly, feels like my skin but healthier, isn’t oily, doesn’t stick to any dry patches on my skin, evens out skintone and just in general is a fabulous summer makeup product I especially love that it has SPF as it’s always one skincare step I always miss out on because I’m too lazy to be bothered to add sticky sun lotion.

All in All, if you like something light, breathable and dewy for your skin this summer then do check this out it feels beautiful and is really moisturising. I just can’t put this down, & if it’s good enough to be used on the likes of Emma then it’s good enough for me.

Trust me when I say Nars have got it spot on when it comes to colours and makeup for fair skin.

Have you tried the Nars Tinted Moisturiser before?

REVIEW | NARS Liquid Blush

Whenever NARS launch new products, I ALWAYS get far too excited as NARS are one beauty brand that are almost always scattered in my makeup bag or my makeup draw. From Blushers, to Lipstick to their famous Sheer Glow Foundation. I can’t live without a lil bit of NARS in my life. This being said, they have just recently launched some brand new & very very exciting products, one of which I couldn’t contain my excitement & just had to purchase straight away. It’s the NARS Orgasm Liquid Blush.

The NARS Orgasm Liquid Blush is part of their new orgasm collection, and is all based upon the cult blush from them. They haven’t just done a liquid blush and various other makeup products including lipsticks in this shade they have also done a bunch of other well loved NARS products including Lustre, Dolce Vita ect.

Anyway down to the actual product. The new formula of this blush is stunning it’s super super pigmented, you literally need the tiniest of tiniest pumps. It’s super pigmented yet a very blendable liquid at the same time. It’s a really thin runny texture that I like to apply to the apples of my cheeks using my trusty beauty blender, It’s a lot more pink than the original orgasm powder blush & has a beautiful amount of shimmer, it’s just gorgeous, it gives skin this really healthy luminous glow and adds this beautiful flush of pink on my cheeks in this really natural way. When I say super pigmented I emphasise on the word SUPER, you literally need not even a pump let alone half a pump, honestly the tiniest press of the pump and it will do both cheeks.

It doesn’t go patchy or look over the top, it’s just an even more beautiful version of an already timeless blusher. Packaging wise top marks all around, it has the classic NARS Matte glass and looks like an extra large nail varnish till you pull of the top and surprise it actually has a pump. That’s one thing that I WISH NARS did, I wish they made their foundations so that they all had pumps ready and you don’t have to go and buy one, because whenever I do they are always sold out.

It lasts all day, doesn’t oxidise and it’s nice and dewy but not heavy, my favourite thing about this product is not the price tag by any stretch of the imagination but the gorgeous healthy glow it gives to my skin, it’s definitely on the peachy-pink side and has this gorgeous shimmer running through it. All in all I think we can let the price tag slide for this one as it really is my new favourite blush, & really is worth it for that lit within summer glow that everyone wants.

I’m just obsessed with this liquid blusher right now.

Have you got your hands on the new Nars Liquid Blush?

May Favourites | 2017

As you can see by the photo above I have been loving a lot of beauty things this month....surprise, surprise.

There are a lot of things to get through so let’s begin.

The first thing I've loved and worn religiously throughout May is my Denim fleece jacket from Topshop, I bought this around about September last year and wore it quite a lot back then. I dusted it off the top of my wardrobe and can't stop wearing it again, it's summery but slightly windy weather here in the UK still, so this is keeping my snug enough and warm enough without letting the cold air whisk me away.

One thing I’ve been loving hugely this past month is the Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse. This cleansing duo is amazing as you can see I’ve completely used it all up & I have already restocked and bought another pot, makes my skin feel squeaky clean and is one of my new all time favourite cleansers, it’s even replaced my beloved Clinique Take The Day Off. Seriously this is one skincare product that everyone NEEDS to try it’s wonderful. More in depth review here.

Bronzing season has finally hit the UK & I’m loving it, yes I’m pale and caspar like but even us fair skinned girls love a cheeky bit of bronzer. The two I’ve been loving this month are the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess in 01 Fair, it’s this beautiful bronzer that has this terracotta redish undertone that is actually surprisingly perfect for those of us with fair skin. When applied and swatched it isn’t muddy or orangey, it adds the perfect amount of warmth without being overdone. If you are fair like me and feel like you can’t wear bronzer then trust me you can & this one is brilliant it’s also a semi matte with a tiny bit of shimmer.

Another bronzer I’ve been loving is the Benefit Hoola Light, this recently just got launched by Benefit and it’s amazing. I’ve never been so happy to have a bronzer that is actually been designed for fair skin, fair skin is something I feel isn’t talked about enough or in the beauty world considered. This is another gorgeous bronzer that adds the most perfect amount of warmth to the fairest of them all. It’s not only a beautiful shade but is smells incredible too, slightly sandalwoody and sweet. All in all top marks to benefit, I will be doing a look and a proper review of this over the next few days.

Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener, I have dark circles and on a good day I look like I’ve been punched in the eye. This I’ve used daily this past month as it’s helping hide my horrendous dark circles, when it says eye brightener it really means it. I look like I’ve had 8-9 hours sleep when I use this so I will not be letting this part my makeup bag any time soon. It’s really easy to blend lasts all day and beyond. I’m just really loving this I’m in the shade Light Bisque 2. The only thing I don't like about this eye brightener is the smell, it smells like something you shouldn't or wouldn't want to put on your face, a bit like glue.....PVA glue.

Nars is one brand that I ALWAYS use and trust for base products, one new thing that I’ve fallen head over heels in love with is the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser In Finland. I adore the Sheer Glow & have talked about it countless time on here, This tinted moisturiser is perfect for the summer and for those makeup less makeup days. It feels extremely light, lasts all day, doesn’t go patchy or look cakey at all. I love how light and fresh this look & feels on my skin, if you are like me and prefer something lighter to wear base wise on good skin days or in the summer months then definitely check out this, I will be doing a more chatty review of this product as I’ve been loving it SO much.

Lipstick wise, it's no secret that I love the Rimmel London Lipsticks, the ones by Kate Moss are some of my all time favourite drugstore lippies. The one lipstick that I've worn almost daily this past month is the Rimmel London Kate Moss 54 Rock 'N' Roll Nude. It's this gorgeous pinky beige lipstick that I not only love but so does my mum. It's very flattering on all skin tones and is my perfect nude lipstick. Rimmel lipstick are some of the best lipsticks on the highstreet, very creamy, lasts a really long time and great pigmentation. I really rate Rimmel Lipsticks.

That is everything I've loved this past month, what did you love in May?
