Embracing 2016

To say that this year has been good is an understatement, I really wanted 2015 to be amazing and it hasn't disappointed me, I thought I'd do a quick post as I've seen quite a few people on my twitter & tumblr feed posting 'things I want to do in 2016' so here are mine, and really to also say a massive thank you to YOU!!! you reading this thank you for all your support throughout this year and for all your comments, messages everything, It makes me SO immensely happy to read all your lovely comments, blogging has really boosted my (non-existent) confidence over time, and for that I can't thank each and every single one of you enough. now let's stop being soppy *grins*.

One thing I bought a few months back was a book which is called "One Line A Day - A Five Year Memory Book" it's something I've had my eye on for a while and decided to finally grab one and start to fill it out asap, I decided that today (as I type this) I'd fill the first page out at midnight tonight, It's kind of a new years resolution of mine which is maybe it will maybe it wont  to keep for 5 more years, I know it probably wont last but it's something I'm going to try my best at keeping.

My hopes for 2016

  • To spend more time with my family & friends
  • To stress less and enjoy everything a little bit more....
  • I'd like to get my Anixety & Panic Attacks a lot more under control this next year, as they are both two things which sometimes hold me down quite a bit.
  • To have a bit more confidence
  • And well ultimately to be happy - if you're not happy, it's not worth it so just stick with what you are doing if it makes you happy & if it doesn't then flip to a new chapter in your life.
So what ever you do in this lovely new year, make sure it's a good one & live a life you'd love to look back on! I look forward to seeing you lovely lot in the new year and I can't wait to do some more beauty, fashion & lifestyle based posts!

Boots Haul | Sales

As you can all probably guess (and see) by the title of this post I have been to boots again, however I have an excuse as to why I ventured into there *starts to rush words* THEY HAD A SALE ON!!! hahaha Boots have finally reduced some of my all time favourite products half price in the christmas sales, So on Boxing day (as me and my mum do this every year) we headed to our local boots and I went a little bit mad, 2 (large) carrier bags later and my little (not so little Jess) shopping trip was complete, I received a few gift cards from people for christmas to use in boots and what better way than in the sale!

The first item I bought was the Origins Superstar Minis, now I was extremely tempted to buy this before the sale as I love Origins products they just work for my skin, and make it feel so much brighter & better, it's a little set of seven mini travel sized products, to give a whirl at home or on the go, ideal for going away, I liked the variety that was in this box so I thought why ever not, it comes with a little cotton Origins bag, and I think that's now £23 something.

One brand I love is Sanctuary Spa, and they do some amazing products which are fantastic for dry/sensitive skin & are now a brand I swear by and would highly recommend to anyone, So when I came across a few Sanctuary products now in the sale I almost screamed, the first thing I found was a little mini tin with a trio of different sanctuary products, they have three collections green lemon & orange blossom, cleansing burst & white lily & damask rose all three are gorgeous, these again are ideal travel size & come with a little exfoliatort. Now only £4.00

sticking with the sanctuary I also bought another two items from them, one is a Cleansing Burst box filled with a wash, scrub, body butter ect & the other a tin of the white lily & damask rose, I'd highly recommend taking a purchase in these items as they are amazing and work wonders on my skin, and for what you are paying for you do get quite a lot free and save a fair few bob aswell (btw they are all full sized products #bargainous).

I then moved away from the sales and headed to the Essie Nail Polish counter instead, and I picked up two nail varnishes one in 'Bikini So Teeny' which is a lilacy pastel blue colour with silver shimmers running through & 'Maximillian Strasse Her' which is a really pretty greyish duck egg colour, I'm not normally a fan of Essie nail polishes as I feel that they chip quite easily compared to other nail polish out there such as Barry M, however I'm extremely impressed with what I've used so far (I think it might be a new formula maybe?) I will probably do a blog post a little bit later on, about these nail polishes. £7.99 each (sadly not in the sale).

The two things I picked up were Soap & Glory's Sugar Crush Body Scrub & a New Deodorant.

Soap & Glory do the best scrubs ever I feel very clean & fresh after using them, I also find them quite moisturising products, the Sugar Crush Body Scrub is one of my old time favourites, it's now my go-to scrub I've been using this for a good few years now and it was time I needed another one so I could have my fix of sugar crush hahaha, it's honestly the best just go and try some trust me you wouldn't be disappointed! £8

and my deodorant, well it's a deodorant nothing much interesting just something I found myself purchasing, I'm one of them really annoying people that will spray it in the shop to smell it before I buy it, so I'm sorry (not sorry ;) ) about that, this is one by dove in the scent pomegranate & lemon verbena this is actually on offer at the moment & is ideal for handbag size when you want a quick refresh throughout the day!

I should have shares in that place the amount of times I go in and purchase things, I'm actually on first term names with the cashier I shop in there that much......
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this rather long haul filled with rambles, let me know in the comments what you think of the things I've bought and also let me know any good places that have got some great sales on!

See you soon....

****** QUICK NOTE I'VE JOINED TUMBLR (finally)!!!! So feel free to follow me if you wish to see all things rose gold, harry styles & anything really hahaha************

Massive Topshop Haul

Well I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, I did and received some lovely things, one of them things was a bit of spending money which as you can imagine I was thrilled with as my wardrobe need a few new items, (in my opinion anyway many people would however disagree with me). I picked up some sales items and some non-sales items, so let's get started with my mahusive topshop haul (quick note feel free to grab a quick beverage before you continue to read this as it's a good long haul hahaha).

let's start with the non sales items, the first thing I bought were these gorgeous tiny floral print, skinny cigarette trousers, I love topshops cigarette trousers I just think they always do so many pretty coloured ones throughout the year, so I picked these up, they are really soft and like a silky material, super comfy, I bought these as I thought they'd look great in the spring/summer with a nice black cami top and a sun hat, & they are £39.00

Next up is another quite pretty item and that is a pair of velvet lace detailed shorts, they are a little bit of a hot pant style shorts, but never the less they are gorgeous, I saw them on the rail and loved how pretty they looked, I like how these can be dressed up or down, these would also like really nice again in the spring/summer with a basic grey top, floppy black hat & some sandals, these do fit true to size, really comfortable and just gorgeous what more can I say than that. these were £28

stripy dress, I loved the ribbed affect on this dress it makes it look quite thick and snug, I tried this on in the shop and really liked it, it's just a plain black and white stripe, jumper dress style, I'm not quite sure if you'd call it that but I'm calling it a jumper dress anyway, it's £29.00 it comes on my just above the knee and I'm 5ft 1 so you can imagine that it's quite true to size.

sticking with black and white stripes I also bought just a plain stripe top in topshop, very casual and just a basic item really and that was £20, it's quite stretchy material so ideal for an everyday kind of top.

Now moving onto the sales, I went in on boxing day, mental I know but I had time to kill so what better way than to spend that time in topshop. I picked up this gorgeous baby blue jumper, I think it might be slightly cropped, I love this again this will go with everything, it will look really nice with a pretty little collar underneath, it was £36.00 reduced to £18.00 an absolute bargain which I wasn't letting stay in the shop.

POP-CORN SOCKS!!!!!!! I saw these and thought they were adorable and so sweet! they've even got little faces on them, actually they'de go quite nicely this my blue jumper hahaha they were £2

I picked up in the jewellery section a little J necklace as you know my names Jessica so the J is just there to remind me incase I forget the first initials of my name hahahah *starts laughing uncontrollably* and that was £3.25

picked up a nail varnish in the shade Tidal as I don't own enough nail varnishes already, it's a blueish/greyish colour and that was £3.00

I'd just like to point out that I didn't buy this lot all in one trip it was many little and often trips, I really hope you like this massive haul and that I didn't bore you to death, I love reading what other people have bought or have picked up in the wonderful christmas sales. let me know in the comments what shops you have been loving and spending quite a bit of time in.

till the next post see you soon!

December Favourites | 2015

(sorry about the really crappy photos I was in a bit of a hurry ;) )

December is almost over *screams NNNOOOOOOO* which means that It's almost been another month gone were I have used products that I have enjoyed and want to now share with you SOOOO, this is going to be my December favourites!

The first product I've been really loving through November & December is a Barry M Nail polish in the shade Chai. Now you may or may not be aware that I'm an avid lover of a blue nail varnish but I must have felt daring the day I purchased this is it's a really pretty deep grey (chai Jess it's CHAI!!!) colour, I've found myself constantly putting this shade on my nails so I must have loved it!

Moving onto skincare things, more recently I have been having many a trip to lush and have picked up a lot of their christmas things which I have been using and loving (Golden wonder is my current go too bath bomb!) But there is one thing from lush that I always used to purchased and It used to my go to facemask for a little skin treat and that is the fresh facemask in Catastrophe Cosmetic, these facemasks last for three weeks in the fridge, a little bit of this beautifully creamy balm goes quite a long way. No only does it smell amazing, it works wonders at balancing out my oily and dry patches on my skin. For me this is personal favourite lush facemasks, it's the nicest facemask out there and I've tried SO many different facemasks, but this is definitely my go too facemask, I'm constantly coming back to this mask as it really helps sooth and calm my skin if it's feeling irritated, or even when I have few spots. the only downside to this product, I kind of feel like I have to rush myself to use it up but never the less it makes my skin feel soft and just the nicest thing in the world, this is only £6.50 I know recently some of Lush's prices have gone up slightly. I've been using it for about I'd like to say 3 years now so it's a firm favourite and something that i'd highly recommend.

Sticking with skincare again, I've been loving the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm. It is a multi-functioning, botanical cleansing balm for all skin types and is the nicest thing EVER! it's so hydrating and moisturising, I use this first thing in the morning and last thing at night to remove the days face away hahaha, if you want to have a little bit more of a read on my thoughts on it I have done another blog post where I've gone into a little bit more detail here.

One thing that always bugs me is having dry lips, for one it's not ever a good look and two who wouldn't want to have nice moisturised lips, I for one do, and the current lip balm I've been loving and using is the Burt's Bees Mango Butter lip balm, it's SO moisturising it's unreal lasts a really long time, I like to pop this on just before I apply my lipstick as it makes them soft and not dry (praise the lord) I also sometimes like to pop it on-top of my lipstick to give it a little bit more of a shine to it.

Sticking with all things lips I recently bought a new lipstick from Topshop, Topshop do fantastic lipsticks at such great prices not to expensive or inexpensive a nice in-between price, this one is in the shade Petal, it's a really pretty peachy nude and makes quite a good dupe for a certain YSL lipstick (just a little heads up for you) I'd highly recommend that you get this now as you'd be silly to miss out on such a stunning lipstick which looks pretty much exact to the YSL Lush Coconut Lipstick, at a fraction of the price, it's really good and makes the perfect peachy nude it's just stunning & something that I've found myself using quite a bit

I've also been loving Soap & Glory products again this month, my favourite out of the many collections that are available are the Sugar just smells amazing it smells like lime which is just the best smell ever, I've been loving their Sugar Crush Body Wash, Buttercream (it's so moisturising it's unreal) they make my skin feel so fresh and it's so nice and sweet scented, something that I love and is always somewhere in my bathroom!

Soap & Glory they have recently released a few new products & two of them are Sugar Crush (surprise, surprise) scented, the first one is Hand Food, now I'm not a fan of sticky handcreams, I don't like that sticky (I can't touch anything) feeling it's just not nice, however I get quite sensitive skin when it starts to get colder, so I've been absolutely loving the Sugar Crush Hand Food, it's so light and not at all grease or my worst nightmare sticky, extremely light and well worth a purchase if you want a new handcream.

Anti-bac now I'm a long time fan of S&G's Anti-bac gel as it doesn't give you that alcohol strong scent like other anti-antibacterials do, it's very refreshing and a lot of people keep asking me "can I have some Jess?" honestly always carry an anti-bac gel in your handbag it's a god send because you never know when you might just need it.

and that everybody is my December favourites, I hope you enjoyed it, let me know in the comments section what things you have been loving throughout December!

What are you current favourites?

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm

I'm completely & utterly late to the scene with reviewing this product but it may not come as surprise to you, that after hearing and reading so many fellow beauty fanatics raving about certain must have cult beauty products, that I tend to go out and buy them to give 'em a whirl and share my thoughts with you all, I like see what all the hypes about. So I ordered the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm. I'm the type of person who is always slightly scared to step out of their comfort zone when it comes to skincare and beauty products, but this is one beauty product that I'd now be lost without, I'm not disappointed at all infact I'm really surprised, The Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm isn't cheap at £38 (for 100ml) but I don't however, consider it extortionate for really qood quality skincare. Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm is a luxurious botanical cleansing balm that removes all traces of make up, not only this, it also doubles up as a soothing and softening mask and universal rescue balm. ingredients include Moringa seeds, wild fennel and vitamin E help to balance, purify and minimise the appearance of open pores, whilst a blend of uplifting orange, neroli and mandarin extracts combined with calming jasmine and rose to revitalise, dull, dry, dehydrated skin. This stuff claims to do a lot of things and I can promise you it doesn't fail to deliver. Since using this compared to other skincare products my skin feels & looks SO much brighter, healthier and so much more hydrated! you get a whole months worth of cleansing with this pot, I simply use a pea size amount every morning and last thing at night.

This balm is honestly exceptional, I just feel like my skin 'craves' it hahaha, I look forward to my skincare regime much more now since using this product it's moisturising and can swipe make up off just like that *clicks fingers* hahaha. It's a very creamy, whilst also buttery textured balm. You apply this with a dash of water, rub it into the balms of your hands and simply massage on your face and neck, and then wipe of with the muslin cloth that comes with it. The cloth that's provided with this product is really soft & gentle and makes the whole process of cleansing so much nicer. It not only feels nice on your skin but it smell truly delicious, your skin feels like it's been at a spa and has drank up all the goodness from this amazing balm. like I said it's pricey stuff but the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm is worth EVERY penny & pound! And I'm really pleasantly surprised like someone once told me.....good skincare is pricey, however it's completely worth it!

I really would advise you to give this a whirl like I did, I'd very highly recommend

Have you tried the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm?
